HCA Florida Brandon Hospital Volunteer Program

Today, the volunteer program at HCA Florida Brandon Hospital has more than 200 volunteers who perform a wide range of services for patients, visitors and caregivers.

Founded in 1977 by the Brandon Women's Service League, the Brandon Hospital volunteer program, has expanded its role and programs to keep pace with the needs of a rapidly growing community.

Volunteer opportunities

Volunteers lend their time and talents to the Brandon Hospital across a range of areas and positions, including:

  • Reception/information desks
  • Guest services transportation (Golf Cart)
  • Child life services
  • Emergency room ambassador
  • Human resources/employee health front desk
  • Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) cuddlers
  • Gift shop

Youth Summer Volunteer Program

Youth ages 14 to 17 are permitted to volunteer at Brandon Hospital during the summer months. Volunteers serve in areas throughout the hospital and receive experience working in a clinical setting.
